The Department offers two undergraduate degree programs - civil engineering and environmental engineering - in addition to three undergraduate minors - environmental engineering, surveying and structural engineering. Both the civil engineering and environmental engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Current enrollment in the civil engineering and environmental engineering degree programs is 214, and 46, respectively. Program faculty includes more than 35 full, or part, time members and three adjunct faculty from the Department of Chemical Engineering.
The Department is committed to a continual improvement process to ensure that its undergraduate programs provide excellent academic preparation for direct entry in the profession, or post graduate education. This process encompasses a robust program of assessment, evaluation and improvement based on stated Program Educational and Outcome Objectives. These Program Educational Objectives are common to both the Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering programs.
