Welcome to the YMCA (3.5+) Thursday Team Tennis Sign-up Webpage Day: Every Thursday Time: 4:00 to 6:30 PM Location: Paula Manship YMCA Players: Men and Women Level: 3.5 and above Courts: 4 clay courts (1-4)Sign-Up Instructions:You must first contact Sherif Ishak via email at sishak@lsu.edu to register and have your name listed on the website.1. Thursday Round Robin Tennis is for YMCA members. Guests are welcome but must be accompanied (sponsored) by a YMCA member in good standing, and follow the YMCA guest regulations. The YMCA guest fee for round robin play is $10. Guests may only play twice per month.2. Players MUST sign up on the website to be able to participate in the Thursday Round Robin.3. Each player must furnish a can of tennis balls once every four times.4. A player may not have the same partner for more than one set.5. All players who sign up before 1 PM on the day of play are assigned to 1st tier courts regardless of the number (odd or even).6. Players who sign up after 1 PM on the day of play are assigned to 2nd tier courts. The last odd numbered player assigned to 2nd tier courts will not have a guaranteed spot on a court.7. A 1st tier court player who is late more than 15 minutes may lose that court spot to a 2nd tier court player on a first come first served basis.8. Unoccupied spots on 1st tier courts can be used by 2nd tier court players on a first-come first-served basis.9. Rotations among all 1st and 2nd tier courts are allowed after the first set is completed on 1st tier courts.10. Walk-ons are welcome if and only if there is a need to have an extra to make things even, and if they meet the minimum skill level (3.5). Under no circumstances should a signed up player offer a walk-on to join play if this will force anyone from the signup group to sit out during rotations. If you extend such invitation, then you forfeit your spot on the court for the day. Players are credited $2 for each time they bring a new can of tennis balls and are charged $0.5 for each time they play. If your balance is negative, it is time for you to furnish tennis balls the next time you play.
