It is the policy of the Department to assist students and faculty to underwrite the cost of unfunded research projects subject to the following guidelines:

• Computer costs are limited to the budget approved by the Chairman.
  
  
• Other support costs such as copying, supplies, etc., must be approved by the students adviser and the Chairman.
  
  
• Students are expected to bear all instructional-related costs other than those supported by the Department.
  
  
• All costs associated with typing, printing, and binding a thesis or dissertation shall be the responsibility of the student.
  
  
• All costs associated with presenting the results of the research work at the final examination shall be the responsibility of the student.
