Grad School Workshop for those planning to graduate Dec 09

GRADUATE SCHOOL WORKSHOPS FOR DECEMBER 2009 GRADS

 

To Discuss Submission Procedures and Manuscript Preparation

 

 

The Graduate Student Academic Services Center (formerly Graduate Records) will hold a one hour workshop for master’s candidates planning to graduate in December 2009.  The Editor, Mrs. Susanna Dixon, will discuss submission procedures and manuscript preparation.  This workshop will be held on Monday, October 19th at 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in room 102 Allen Hall.

 

 The workshop for doctoral students planning to graduate in December 2009 will be held on Wednesday, October 21st at 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. in room 102 Allen Hall.

 

Although the workshops have been separated for masters and doctoral students, if one date is better for students to attend than the other, please tell them to feel free to attend the workshop that best fits their schedules.  The same information will be shared in both workshops.

 

Graduate Students are HIGHLY encouraged to attend!

LSU GRE Prep Course Starting Oct. 6

LSU Continuing Education is offering a GRE Test Prep Course that will begin Tuesday, October 6! Developed by professionals who have years of experience and success delivering courses across the United States, our courses are designed to provide students with a foundation for self-study and offer affordable test prep options on the LSU campus.

Fall 2009 Important Dates
Here is the Fall 2009 Graduate School Calendar. All students are responsible for being aware of important deadlines and for meeting them. If you have forms that require the Graduate Advisor and/or Department Chair's signature, then you must submit the form at least 2 days prior to the form's due date.

New MS & PhD Checklists!
We have created new Checklists for the Master and Doctoral Graduate programs. We encourage all of our current and new students to visit our Forms page (http://www.cee.lsu.edu/grad/Grad_Students_Forms/Forms/AllItems.aspx) for the list for your program. Please review these lists often and discuss your progress with your advisor.

Fall Semester Application Deadline - May 15
May 15, 2008
Final date for reciept of graduate admission applications for summer term or fall semester without paying $25 late fee.
 
PLEASE NOTE --> We encourage International Applicants to apply as soon as possible. Please do not wait until the May 15 deadline!

Spring 2008 Application Deadline
The deadline for submitting applications to the Graduate School for the Spring 2008 semester is October 15. Therefore, if you are interested in applying please do so as soon as possible.
