Ph.D. Research Assistantships in Coastal Engineering Ph.D. research assistantships are available in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Louisiana State University to study coastal hazard prediction and mitigation. Required Qualifications: M.S. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physical Oceanography, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field; a strong interest in numerical modeling of free surface flows and water waves; GRE and TOEFL (for International students) scores.
