LAPELS Leveling Courses

LAPELS list of leveling courses is for graduate students who have an engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited institution. The LSU College of Engineering and the Louisiana Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveying (LAPELS) Board have agreed upon a prescribed list of classes that these students must take in order to be suitable for registration as professional engineers in the future. Note that the list is what LAPELS will check against when/if you apply to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) and the Professional Engineering (PE) exams. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that they have taken the courses on the list of their equivalents, not the faculty advisors or the CE graduate programs office. The list of the leveling classes can be found on the forms page.
